The town of Bayeux is very small and can be easily explored on foot. Taking the railway station and the cathedral as reference points, it takes about half an hour - three quarters of an hour to visit the entire historic center, full of attractions and places to stop.

Bayeux can be reached by train (certainly the best way to reach the city) thanks to the presence of a station of the French state railways. It is located on the line ParisCherbourg, a short distance from Caen. Numerous trains depart daily from Paris and vice versa to Paris, although a change is sometimes necessary in Caen. The trip to / from the capital takes two hours and costs an average of 40 € (2015).
