Beaumont-les-Valence is a town located in the department of Drome, in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France.
Understand
The village of Beaumont-lès-Valence is known in XIIIe century under the name of Villa Bellimontis, then in 1397 he became Castrum Bellimontis before being appointed in 1450 Belli Monte. The name Beaulmont appears in the middle of the XVIe century before becoming Beaulmont en Valentinoys. The current name dates from the 1870s.

- 1 The church-temple building Priory Street – Church classified as a historical monument since 1914, this building, the oldest parts of which date from the end of XIe century has the particularity of being divided since 1806 into two zones, one reserved for Catholic worship, the other for Protestant worship. A separation wall was erected between the two parts of the building, then destroyed in 2008 and replaced by sliding panels, open during ecumenical events or celebrations welcoming a large audience.
Church-temple - Virgin of the Vow – Blessed on August 15, 1945; this virgin was made by the Bachini brothers in thanks for the preservation of the village during the war: it is placed on a plinth made voluntarily by a mason of the town with three recesses. An altar table made it possible to celebrate masses in public.
- 2 Tower main street – Built in XIVe century, this old gateway to the village is the last vestige of the medieval ramparts.
Tower - 3 The train station rue du 11 novembre 1918 – The town was formerly located on the railway line connecting Valence To Crest which operated from 1906 to 1934. The station building was transformed into a school, then into a home for the elderly.
Old train station - 4 The Magnanerie schoolchildren path – Witness to the spinning mills that have boomed in XIXe century in the town with up to 47 000 mulberry trees to supply the silkworms necessary for the operation of the five spinning mills, this building was created in 1845 by the Veyranne family, then closed in 1865 following the silkworm crisis. It was then used to house a can of truffles and today houses a fabric printing factory.
- 5 Bishop's Square – This building belonged to the bishops of Valence who were also lords of Beaumont. Its front door gives access to a Renaissance staircase.

- 7 Padelle footbridge Les Roux district – This pedestrian bridge XVIIe century crosses the Véore.

Sculptures
Many artistic creations were made and placed in the town in the 1970s.
- 8 Place Notre-Dame – The sculpture on this square is on the site of the old Catholic cemetery which was around the choir of the church.
- 9 Old temple square – The sculpture present here marks the site of the temple which was razed in 1686 after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes.
- 10 The Orfeuille grove – Sculptures located at the site of the entrance to an old disused cemetery at the end of the XIXe century.
- 11 The water clock Place du Rasset – This clepsydra allows the time to be displayed on a clock face only thanks to the circulation of water.
- 12 Sundial rue Émile Courbis – This sundial was produced in 1974 by Serge Millet, engineer of the municipality. A miniature was offered to François Mitterrand in 1976 when he came to the village.
