Montmeyran is a municipality ofAuvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France.
Understand
Rural commune located just a few kilometers from Valence, Montmeyran has managed to preserve a lively village life thanks to festive events and commercial vitality. In addition, the village still has many farms, including a large part in organic farming, making the town the first organic town in France in percentage of farms.

- 1 Notre-Dame-des-Foyers Statue (from the Chemin de Ladevaux, take the uphill street then the first uphill path to the right) – A path takes you from the center of the village to this statue erected in 1948 by the Catholic parish of Montmeyran. Overlooking the town, it offers a panoramic view of the town and the foothills of the Vercors. Along the path there are some vestiges of the fortified castle which overlooked the town of XIIe century to XVIe century: a section of the old keep and the ruins of three of the five towers of the surrounding wall of the village.
- Protestant cemeteries – In the middle of many fields of the hamlets of the village (in particular Dinas, Rorivas, Petiots and Couriols) are Protestant private cemeteries, built when the latter could not be buried in Catholic communal cemeteries. Some are still in use today. These cemeteries are private property.

- Fall market – The second Sunday in October, this market offers local products, organic flavors, with entertainment throughout the day, pony rides and food stands.
- Places festival – Every second Saturday in December, at nightfall, the square festival creates a Christmas atmosphere in the village, with hot chocolate and mulled wine offered by the town, carriage rides, descent of Santa Claus from the bell tower of the church, and many food stands as well as entertainment throughout the village.
