The Bernina Express is a railway line running from Chur, Davos Where St. Moritz (in Swiss) To Tirano in Italy.

Understand

The line, built between 1903 and 1910, is now primarily a tourist train line, although in winter and summer it allows skiers and hikers to reach the Diavolezza ski lifts from Saint Moritz.

The towns of Chur, Davos and St. Moritz are well served by the Federal Railways (CFF). Timetables are available on the CFF website [1].

From April to October, a special bus runs between Tirano (departure at 14 h 20) and Lugano (arrive at 17 h 30). It is also possible to make this trip by train, with a change in Monza (h 20 path). Since Tirano, it is possible to reach several Italian cities such as Milan.

Children under 6 travel for free if they do not occupy a seat and children under 16 have a 50% discount.

Half-fare season tickets, general season tickets, day tickets and junior tickets are valid. However, this train requires a seat reservation costing 10 Fr. in winter and 14 Fr. in summer.
