Walloon Brabant - province of w Belgium, in Wallonia. Its capital city is Wavre.
It borders with the provinces: Namur, Flemish Brabant, Hainaut and Liège. It is the smallest of the Belgian provinces - it covers an area of 1093 km². At the beginning of 2005, it was inhabited by 363 776 people.
It consists of only one district - Nivelles, which is divided into 27 municipalities.
Walloon Brabant was established in 1995 as a result of the division of former Brabant into three parts: Flemish, Walloon and Brussels-Capital Region, not belonging to any of the provinces.
