In the glacial valley of the Networks

The Bydgoszcz Canal, named after the city Bydgoszcz, is an approx. 25 km long canal from the early 18th century that connects the Vistula with the Or in the northern Poland in the voivodeship Kuyavian Pomeranian connects via numerous lakes and locks. This makes it the oldest still navigable canal in Poland. It is very popular with canoeists, sailors and other water sports enthusiasts.

Run

The canal flows through the glacial valley of the networks and is connected to the Networks, Warta and Or in the west as well as the Brda and Vistula in the East. The river network can be navigated with a houseboat. There are numerous locks to be passed.
