Characteristic

Geographical location: 54 ° 44′30 ″ N 17 ° 58′38 ″ E

In the years 1975-1998, the town administratively belonged to the then Gdańsk Province.

Bychowo is situated off the beaten track, although close to them (and very close to the Baltic beaches).

The biggest attraction of Bychowo is the picturesque Bychowo manor house. The manor house was built in the second half of the 19th century. It survived World War II without major damage, but it did not survive the "era of state farms". Without repairs and proper supervision, it almost collapsed. A private investor, Władysław Brzozowski, bought this ruin from the commune. The manor house was pulled down to its foundations, leaving only the best-preserved entrance portico. The remaining part was rebuilt with great care according to the preserved photographic documentation.

The oldest mentions of Bychów come from over 600 years ago.
