- 1 Kanchanaburi – The city is located at the confluence of the River Kwai Noi with the River Kwai Yai, where the bridge over the River Kwai was built in 1942 by prisoners of war under the command of Japanese troops. The bridge is famous for the novel and the movie it inspired.
- 2 Nakhon Pathom – city that houses the highest stupa in the world, the Phra Pathom Chedi (127 m)

- 2 Erawan National Park – The park is notable for the Erawan waterfall which gives it its name in reference to the mythological elephant Erawan
- 3 Three Pagodas Pass – The pass is the main overland route between Burma and Thailand. During World War II, the Japanese brought the sinister “Death Railway” (which also included the Bridge over the River Kwai) through it.
