Chelsea is a district of Manhattan to New York.
To know
Chelsea located on the West Side in the southern part of the Midtown area; roughly it can be said that it is enclosed between 14th Street to 34th Street and west of 6th Avenue.
It is a well-known area for nightlife and restaurants, particularly along 8th Avenue, and is the center of Manhattan's gay scene. Very interesting for everyone is the Chelsea Piers area, on the Hudson River, a huge sports and entertainment complex opened in 1995. Chelsea's explosive growth began in the 1990s and continues today with new skyscrapers and buildings that are expanding the neighborhood. northwards at Madison Square Garden, the famous sports arena (and not only) that is located where once there was the old Pennsylvania Station, and today "home" of the NBA team of the New York Knicks and the hockey team NHL of the New York Rangers. West of Madison Square Garden is a rather small commercial and industrial area.
