What see
- Statue of Cristo de la Concordia.
- Iglesia de San Lorenzo.
- Palacio Portales. Built between 1915 and 1927 by French architects, the Portales palace has luxurious interiors with silk-covered walls and precious furnishings that have come to us in good condition thanks to the dry climate of Cochabamba. The mansion belonged to Baron Simón Iturri Patiño, originally from Cochabamba and who became very wealthy after the discovery of tin deposits on his land in Oruro. The baron who lived in Paris did not have time to enjoy his house because he died while it was still under construction. Today the Palacio Portales is the seat of a cultural association

Around
- THE.Along the way to Santa Cruz (Route 4)
- Incallajta (132 km) - Military outpost from the Incas era. It is considered the most important archaeological site in the Bolivia, after Tiahuanaco.
- II.Along the highway for La Paz (Route 4)
- Quillacollo - Taking the road to La Paz (nº 4), you meet Quillacollo, a large rural village of 80,000 inhabitants
- III.Along state 7 (Route 7)
- The "Ruta 7" is an alternative route to Santa Cruz. It passes through the province of Chaparre where coca plants grow in large quantities as in the Yungas (Los Yungas) but the quality of Cochabamba is more appreciated.
- Villa Tunari - Reachable from Cochabamba via a spectacular road that goes down the side of the cordillera overlooking the Amazon basin, Villa Tunari forms the basis for excursions to the national parks of Isiboro Sécure and of Carrasco. It is well worth a stop for one or more days if only to go up in a canoe the course of the Rio Chaparre that flows among a dense tropical vegetation.
- Puerto Villarroel - On a branch of Ruta 7, Puerto Villarroel is a river port where, if desired, you can board small boats that go up the Río Ichilo with destination Trinidad, in the Amazon basin. Trinidad it can be reached more comfortably from Cochabamba by plane but the boat trip is considerably more exciting if, of course, one is willing to endure the annoying bites of swarms of mosquitoes present even in the dry season.
- Torotoro National Park - Reachable in about 8 hours by off-road vehicle along an uncomfortable track that winds for 200 km south of Cochabamba, the Torotoro National Park occupies part of the cordillera that separates the department of Cochabamba from that of Potosí. There are karst caves, waterfalls and rock paintings. For lovers of paleontology, a hiking trail is proposed, the path of the dinosaurs
