The Czarna Hańcza is an approx. 150 km long tributary of the Memel in the northeast Poland in the voivodeship Podlaskie. It flows through the Augustów Heath and is very popular with canoeists.

Run

The Czarna Hańcza rises in the Suwałki Lake District in the lake Hańcza and flows eastwards through numerous lakes towards Belarus. Through the Augustów Canal is she also with the Biebrza, Narew and Vistula connected. The river network can be navigated with a houseboat.
