The Augustów Heath (Polish: Puszcza Augustowska) is a large natural forest area in the voivodeships Podlaskie in Poland. It is one of the largest contiguous forest areas in the country and adjacent to that Białowieża Primeval Forest and the Knyszyn Heath, the largest in the voivodeship. The heather is in the border triangle Lithuania and Belarus and continues across the borders, even if the majority is in Poland. The heather lies on the watershed between Vistula and Memel and is used by the Rospuda, Blizna, Czarna Hańcza, Marycha and Wołkuszanka flowed through. There are numerous streams, swamps and lakes of the Suwałki Lake District on, including the Wigry, Sajno, Necko, Studzieniczne, Serwy, Blizno, Pomorze and the White Augustów Lake. Part of the heather is as Wigry National Park protected. There are also numerous nature reserves.
