The Narew is a river in Belarus and in Poland, which shortly after the confluence with the Bug in the Vistula flows out.

The Narew rises in several streams in the Białowieża National Park in the Polish-Belarusian border area. After that, the Narew forms beautiful swamp landscapes through which it meanders as well as the Siemianówka Reservoir. Together with the Biebrza it creates a swamp area that is unique in Europe, that in the national parks Biebrza National Park and Narew National Park protected and which is the largest refuge for migratory birds on our continent After the Narew has picked up the Biebrza, it flows in the Zegrze reservoir in the north of Warsaw in the Bug, which a few kilometers later in the Vistula flows out. The Narew is ideal for kayaking. For the national parks, however, you need a permit and the number of permits issued is very limited for bird protection.

National park
The Narwiański National Park is known as the Polish Amazon, as the Narew River with its countless tributaries is known. The area has been protected as a national park since 1996. This area is home to around 200 species of birds, most of which also breed there. The seat of the national park administration is in Kurowo in an old manor house. Exhibitions take place there and you can walk on a nature trail from here.
Large network of river arms, next to that Danube-Delta unique in Europe, also called Polish Amazon. Up until a few years ago, 151 species of birds, such as the spotted rail, small rail, water rail, bittern, bittern, bluethroat, and swirl, were breeding here in great density.
