Daaden is a community in Rhineland-Palatinate at the edge of the Westerwalds.

Daaden lies on the edge of Siegerland and Westerwald. In terms of cultural history, it is assigned to the Siegerland. It consists of the villages of Daaden, Niederdreisbach, Schutzbach, Weitefeld, Friedewald, Nisterberg, Derschen, Mauden and Emmerzhausen.

By plane

The Siegerland Airport in Burbach (Siegerland) is a small airfield with no scheduled flights. The next major airports are in Frankfurt am Main and Cologne.

By train

  • Daaden is on the Daadetalbahn railway line. The trains run here according to the Rhineland-Palatinate cycle RB 97, Daadetalbahn (Betzdorf (Sieg) -Schutzbach-Niederdreisbach-Biersdorf-Daaden) daily approx. Every hour.
  • The Betzdorf (Sieg) train station is on the Sieg route (Cologne-Au (Sieg) -Siegen), here the runs RE 9, Rhein-Sieg-Express from Aachen via Düren, Cologne, Siegburg / Bonn, Au (Sieg) and Betzdorf to Siegen and the line RB 90, Westerwald-Sieg-Bahn (Limburg (Lahn) -Diez Ost-Westerburg-Nistertal / Bad Marienberg-Hachenburg-Altenkirchen-Au (Sieg) -Betzdorf (Sieg) -iegen.

In the street

Via the A 4 from Cologne, via the A 45 north from the Ruhr area (Wilnsdorf exit) via Neunkirchen and Herdorf. South of Frankfurt am Main (exit Haiger / Burbach) via Burbach - Neunkirchen and Herdorf.
