Pelicans from the Danube Delta
Delta Danube[1] (3446 km²), located mostly in Dobrogea, Romania, and partly in Ukraine, is the largest and best preserved of the deltas Europeans.
About
There are over 300 species of birds, and 45 species of freshwater fish in its many lakes and swamps. The Danube Delta has entered UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991 as a biosphere reserve.
This is where millions of birds from different corners of the Earth (Europe, Asia, Africa, Mediteraneean Sea) come to make their nest.
Accommodation
There are several localities in the Delta where there are accommodations, most of them in Sulina and Saint George.
