Bolívar Department is a department of the Caribbean region of the Colombia.

Geographical notes
The department is located in the northern part of the country. It borders to the north with the Caribbean Sea, to the east with the departments of Atlantic, Magdalena, Cesar, south with Antioquia is Santander, to the west again with Antioquia e Sucre.
The department has a long extension that corresponds to the left bank of the Magdalena, which marks the entire eastern border, from the southern reliefs of San Lucas, which reach 2400 meters, to the flat land that reaches the Caribbean Sea.
