Córdoba is a department of the Caribbean region of the Colombia.

Geographical notes
The department of Córdoba is washed to the north-west by the Caribbean Sea, bordered to the east by the departments of Sucre is Bolívar, to the south and to the west with the department of Antioquia.
The territory of Córdoba is mainly flat and is crossed by numerous rivers. In particular from the Sinú river and its tributaries that flows into the Caribbean Sea in the north and from rivers that drain to the east into the Magdalena river basin.
In the extreme south of the department we encounter the mountain ranges of the Serranía de San Jerónimo.
The capital Montería is located on the Sinú river in the central area of the department.
