By plane

Direct flights from Hanover to Bolzano, every Saturday with Germanwingsvon Cologne / Bonn to Verona you can fly cheaply and take the pick-up service to South Tyrol. Alternatively, the flight from Cologne / Bonn with Tuifly innsbruck and from there on by train or scheduled flights from Germany to Munich, Milan or Verona.

By train

From Munich there are direct train connections to Bolzano with very regular travel times. However, from Bolzano to Merano you have to change again to a regional train. From Merano you can order a taxi from your accommodation or take the bus to Dorf Tirol.

In the street

Countless hiking opportunities at all altitudes for a wide variety of demands. The closest is the Texel group. The cable car to Hochmuth takes you directly to the well-known Meraner Höhenwegwhich, in addition to numerous day tours, also enables a 5-6 day tour. The hike to the Spronser Seenplatte or simply the descent from the Muthöfen into the valley is also wonderful. A new forest path leads you directly to the Tiroler Kreuz, from there the guest bus will bring you back to the village or you can walk along the Auers Castle and the seminar road to the village center. The Hirzer area with the Hirzer cable car from Saltaus in the Passeiertal can be reached in a short time by car or bus. There, in June, hikers experience what is probably the most beautiful alpine rose bloom. It is at about 2000m and can be hiked very well. The descent to Prenn (middle station) is pleasant and only partly in the forest. You can then continue to descend to Saltaus or take the Hirzerseilbahn cable car.

Also the hiking area Merano 2000 can be reached shortly by bus or car. There, too, you will find a high plateau with hikes of various demands. Via the villages of Avelengo, Verano and Mölten you can reach the Salten, an extremely simple and easily accessible hiking area. Among other things, there is the Knottenkino with a wonderful view of the valley.

The Schnalstal with the Schnalser glacier, past the idyllic lake of Vernagt brings you up to almost 3000m. The view there is correspondingly beautiful. Nice hike from St. Katharinaberg in Schnalstag over the Meraner Höhenweg towards Naturns and Unterstell.
