The place Dorf Tirol (Italian Tirolo) is a community in South-Tirol, it advertises itself as a "holiday home in the Alps with a Mediterranean flair" and is located near the spa town Meran.

background

The climate: In technical terms, the climate of Dorf Tirol represents the continental optimum, firstly with regard to its geographical location, secondly with regard to the annual isotherm because of the relatively low rainfall. Statistics show that bad weather has no chance against sun and warmth in Tirolo. For the natural scientist, the connoisseur of fauna and flora, the south, i.e. the Mediterranean region, has already begun here.
