The regional district Elis (Ηλεία / Ilía) is in the west of the Peloponnese in Greece. It is limited by the districts Achaia in the North, Arcadia in the east and Messenia in the south. The capital of the region is Pyrgos.

Elis or Ilia is the destination of many vacationers because of the sports facilities of ancient Olympia. In the Middle Ages, the Crusaders had established a kingdom here, and its capital was Andravida (Andréville).
