history

In 1985, Emirates was taken over by the government Dubai as competition too Gulf Air out Abu Dhabi founded.

Emirates owns around 266 aircraft, including a service aircraft belonging to the Dubai government and numerous touring aircraft:

Emirates is currently allowed to drive to four airports in Germany - these are Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Dusseldorf. The airline also heads for Vienna and Zurich and virtually every other major airport in the world.

Lounges

There are Emirates Lounges in Germany in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich; The airport Zurich in the Switzerland also has an Emirates lounge. First and Business Class travelers as well as Skywards members with Gold or Platinum status have access.
