Falcón is one of the federated states Venezuelans of the Northwest Venezuela.

The Paraguaná peninsula, like theMargarita island, is a free port, ie no sales tax or VAT is charged. This makes it a popular destination for Venezuelans to stock up on whiskey or buy consumer goods such as televisions.
The name derives from Juan Crisóstomo Falcón, one of the main figures in the history of Venezuela originally from Jadacaquiva on the Paraguaná peninsula.
Geographical notes
It is located in the northwestern part of the country and is bordered to the east by the Caribbean Sea, to the west by the state of Zulia and south with the states of Lara is Yaracuy it also faces north on the islands of Aruba is Curaçao.

- Morrocoy National Park - A plethora of islets, coral reefs and sandy beaches make this one of Venezuela's best bathing areas and dive site. The islands can be reached by boat or launch from one of the two access points to Morrocoy: Tucacas in the south or Chichiriviche in the north.
