Lara is one of the federated states Venezuelans of the Northwest Venezuela.
To know
The name of this state derives from the Venezuelan independence hero general Jacinto Lara, a native of the city of El Tocuyo.
Geographical notes
It is located in the western part of the country and borders the State of to the north Falcón, south with the states of Trujillo is Portuguesa, to the west with the state of Zulia and to the east with Yaracuy and Portuguesa.
