Urban centers
- Glenrothes - Administrative capital of Fife.
- Aberdour - Described as the "Jewel of Fife", Aberdour is an incredibly attractive coastal village.
- Anstruther - 15km southeast of Saint Andrews.
- Buckhaven - Fife east coast town on the Firth of Forth between East Wemyss and Methil.
- Burntisland - Small town in the Firth of Forth.
- Carnock - Village of Fife approximately 2.5km northwest of Dunfermline and 1 mile from Oakley.
- Culross - A charming restored town of the 16th-17th century.
- Cupar - Located between Dundee and Glenrothes.

- Saint Andrews - Home to Scotland's oldest university (founded 1410). Also known as the "home of golf" due to the fact that it is home to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club (founded in 1754).
