getting there
Gößnitz can be reached very quickly via the A 4. You drive on the exit from both directions 62 Exit Meerane. Actually, the descent is a cross, because then it goes on to the four-lane expressway B 93. After around four kilometers the road narrows, but the driver is almost in town.
Gößnitz is not only well connected by road: the city is the crossing point of the railway lines Leipzig–court and Gera–Glauchau. There are hourly express S-Bahn connections (S5X, does not stop everywhere) from Halle and Leipzig or Zwickau, condensed with S-Bahn trains that stop at every stop on the way (S5). Out Goettingen RegionalExpress trains run every two hours Erfurt and Gera to Gößnitz, which after Glauchau go on. The journey time from Leipzig with the S 5X is almost exactly one hour.
