The place Neck bridge lies in the valley of the Freiberger Mulde, north of the city Freiberg. The Rothschönberger Stolln, a drainage tunnel of the Freiberg mining industry, begins at Halsbrücke.

- Siebenlehn (13 km north, via Teichhäuser and Bieberstein) - the small town between Zellwald and Freiberger Mulde with revoked town rights now belongs to the town of Großschirma. The church and water tower are well worth seeing, and what was once the highest motorway bridge in Europe is nearby.
