Siebenlehn is a former small town and now part of Large company at the transition of the Central Saxon hill country in the Ore Mountains. It lies between the Zellwald in the west and the Freiberger Mulde in the east. Due to the precarious financial situation, it was incorporated into the municipality of Großschirma on September 1, 2003, whereby Großschirma itself became a city.

Siebenlehn is best on the A4 ChemnitzDresden reachable. The departure is called Symbol: AS 75 Siebenlehn. After leaving the autobahn you come to the newly built bypass, which is congruent with the B 101 NossenFreiberg is. Everything else is regulated by the local signs.

The 413 m long is located near Siebenlehn Highway bridge, which carries the A4 and spans the valley of the Freiberger Mulde. At the time of its completion in the mid-1930s, it was the highest motorway bridge in Europe at around 70 meters above the valley floor. Shortly before the end of the war, the bridge was supposed to be blown up, but this could be prevented so that it was preserved in its original form until 1994. In the course of the six-lane expansion of the A4, a new, wider superstructure was installed, whereby the pillars were retained.

Nossen
  • Nossen (4 km north, B 101) - town on the Freiberger Mulde. The mistress of Augustus the Strong, Countess Cosel, was arrested at the castle for a short time. Events with steam locomotives take place at irregular intervals in the station area.
  • Neck bridge (13 km south via Bieberstein and Burkersdorf) - the "Halsbrücker Esse", built in 1888 and 89, was once the highest chimney in the world with a height of 140 m. There is also a "boat lift house" near the village, which is probably the oldest ship lift in the world.
  • Freiberg (16 km south, B 101) - the unofficial capital of the Ore Mountains; centuries of silver mining have shaped them. On the way to Freiberg you can also include Halsbrücke, although you do not use the B 101, which runs further west, for the shortest route.
