Hechingen is a German City in the district of Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
background
The settlement, first mentioned in 786, became the ancestral seat of the Counts of Hohenzollern in the 13th century. In 1255 it received city rights.
The municipality of Hechingen includes the town of Hechingen, as well as the formerly independent districts of Bechtoldsweiler, Beuren, Boll, Schlatt, Sickingen, Stein, Stetten and Weilheim.

Hechungen will be on 1 DB train station every two hours by the Interregio-Express Stuttgart–Reutlingen–Tubingen–Hechingen–Balingen–Sigmaringen–Aulendorf served. Additional regional trains run at least every hour.

- The 1 Collegiate Church of St. James was built in 1783 as a classical building by Pierre Michel d'Ixnard under Prince Josef Wilhelm. It belonged to the collegiate monastery, which existed from 1495 to 1806.
- 2 New lock: built between 1818 and 1849 by Rudolf Burnitz, who was a pupil of Weinbrenner, in the classical style. Today it is the seat of the Sparkasse of the Zollernalb district.
- 3 Old castle, it now houses the Hohenzollerisches Landesmuseum.
- The 4 Villa Eugenia was built in 1786 as a pleasure garden house in front of the city and expanded in 1833. It was the last princely residence.
- The White houses was built in 1830 as a princely billiard room. Today it is the seat of the Hechingen artists' guild.

- The 5 town hall was built in 1957 based on the templates by Paul Schmitthenner.
- In the St. Luzen Monastery Church it is a building from the Renaissance, which was built between 1586 and 1589. Its vault has very ornate stucco rosettes, and the Renaissance decor is also worth seeing.
- At the Lindich Castle it is a princely hunting and pleasure palace, which was built in 1738.
- The 6 Parish Church of St. John was built as a neo-Gothic building by Friedrich August Stüler on the orders of King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. between 1856 and 1857.
- The 7 Old synagogue was built in 1767. The classical facade was added later. The building now serves as a cultural center.
- The Princess Eugenie Kindergarten was built in 1839 as a children's institution. The building is kept in the style of classicism, which mixes early elements of the neo-renaissance. Today it houses the district court.

- The Villa Silberburg was originally the restaurant "Zur Silberburg". In 1842 it was converted into a late classical princely summer and guest house.
