Hegyvidek is a district of Budapest.
Understand
Hegyvidék (literally The Hill Country) includes the 12th and 2nd arrondissements. It is the most exclusive district, with these villas, these embassies and these expatriate residences. This is the "greenest" part of the city. Here we find the highest point of the city János hegy (527 m). The district is located in the northwest of Buda. The district is bordered to the north by Óbuda, east on the other side of the Danube by Belváros, to the south-east by Belbuda and in the South, by Újbuda and Tétény. The neighboring municipalities to the west are Budakeszi and Budaörs.
As a significant part of the area is covered by forest, the area is very popular with local hikers and the wealthy for the living environment. The district contains a number of diplomatic representation.
