The Ostseebad Heringsdorf is a municipality on the island Usedom in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It includes the three imperial baths Ahlbeck, Bansin and the Heringsdorf center in between.
background
The place was created in 1818 as a fishing colony. Bathing began in the Baltic Sea in 1825. King Friedrich Wilhelm IV of Prussia already visited the seaside resort. During imperial times, Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck and Bansin were considered Bathtub of Berlin known. Kaiser Wilhelm II.
