horn is a district capital in Waldviertel, the northwestern part of Lower Austria, and has about 6,600 inhabitants.

The "Franz-Josefs-Bahn" runs around 10 km past Horn, from Vienna (Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof, Spittelau, Heiligenstadt) or Tulln you have to change to the Kamptalbahn in Sigmundsherberg. Regional trains run on the Kamptalbahn between Sigmundsherberg and Krems.

In the street
By car from Vienna via the A 22 bis Stockerau and continue on the B 4 (approx. 80 km). Of Zwettl via the B 38 (approx. 50 km) and from Gmünd or the Czech Republic (Budweis) via the B 2. From Krems you can take the wonderful trip over the B 34 through the Kamptal.

Tourist Attractions
- Parish Church of St. George. 1593–1597.
- Höbarth and Madermuseum. The museum houses collections on prehistory, folklore and natural history exhibits. There is also a documentation about the robber captain Johann Grasel (1790-1818), who is very popular in the region.
- Horn Castle
