Ittoqqortoormiit is a locality of the municipality of Sermersooq, in Greenland.
To know
Ittoqqortoormiit (meaning "big house") is a town on the edge of Scoresby Sund (Kangertittivaq), a huge fjord on the east coast of Greenland. The Scoresby Sund for its part has an area comparable to that of Denmark and it is the largest fjord in the world.
Geographical notes
It is a small city in the east, the northernmost, located a few hundred kilometers southeast of Northeast Greenland National Park. These elements make it one of the most isolated cities in Greenland and a perfect base for starting a national park expedition.

Ittoqqortoormiit has a tundra climate with bitter winters, cold summers and no monthly average even close to the 10 ° C threshold.
