Karima, Arabic:كريمة, Karīma / Kurīma / Kuraima, is a small town in North Sudan in the Sudanese State ash-Shamālīya. It is located on the western bank of the Nile, about 400 kilometers north of al-Charṭūm and 9 kilometers (as the crow flies) north of the city Marawī. The city is immediately north of the Jebel al-Barkal located.

By train
Karīma has the 2 Karīma Railway Station in the east of the city near the Nile. Trains to al-Charṭūm and Wādī Ḥalfā but only run once every fortnight.
By bus
There's that in the east of the city 3 Karīma bus station. Buses go to and from al-Charṭūm (about 5 hours driving time for the 450 km long route) and Dunqulā (about two and a half hours, 200 kilometers, 150 SDG). Buses run from Dunqulā to al-Charṭūm and Wādī Ḥalfā.

It is possible that passenger ships still operate between Karīma and Dunqulā, if the water level is sufficient, between July and February. The journey takes about two to four days, depending on the direction.
