It was built, as a historical inscription attests, in 1107 by Sheikh Said bin Abi Amran, a settler Persian come from Shiraz. The interior has kept a more original appearance with coral stone carvings and historical inscriptions in kufic. Outside, there is an old well still in use as well as several tombs of sheriffs.

Do

The main activity, once a day and every day, is to meet dolphins with the possibility of swimming with them. The sea excursion lasts a maximum of two hours with between 80 and 90% of meeting these marine mammals. Most of the hotels in Kizimkazi as well as Zanzibar City tour operators organize this activity. AD, evidenced by the stone tools found as well as bones burned or showing cuts, produced by artefacts, large animals such as the zebra or the buffalo that lived there when the island was connected to the mainland. The concrete stelae mark the places where archaeologists have made statigraphic sections. Please note that this is a sacred place for the natives, here more than elsewhere, the visitor must respect the place and not cut or prune the trees around the cave as they are also considered sacred.
