The Klützer Winkel, around the small town Klütz, is located on the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea coast, in the very north-west of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, between Lübeck-Travemünde and Wismar. He has been largely spared from the big tourist hype. If you are looking for peace and quiet in the "rural idyll", this is the right place.

background

As is customary in the sparsely populated Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, several communities around Klütz have been merged into one office that takes on joint administration. In detail, these are the city of Klütz, the communities Boltenhagen (because of its importance as a seaside resort with its own article), Damshagen, Hohenkirchen, Kalkhorst and Zierow. The city too Dassow and the communities of Roggenstorf and Warnow Grevesmühlen are geographically assigned to the Klützer Winkel region, but do not belong to the office of the same name.
