Bács-Kiskun County - the largest in area (twelfth part of the country's territory) contemporary county Hungarian. It belongs to the EU region "South Hungarian Plain" (Dél-Alföld). To the north it borders with Pest County, from the west it is limited by the Danube, from the south by the state border, and from the east by the Tisza and Csongrád County.
