Konopnica - village in Poland located in voivodeship of Lodz, in Wieluń County, seat of the Konopnica commune.

A holiday village situated on Guard on the premises Miedzyrzecz Warta and Widawka Landscape Park.

The first known owner of Konopnica was Stoigniew, appearing in the land registers of Sieradz in the years 1391 and 1399. Jan Kroczowski of the Jastrzębiec coat of arms bought the Konopnica estate and named himself Konopnicki. In the 16th century, the estate consisted of Konopnica, Wola Konopnicka, as well as departments in the neighboring Bębnów, Walków and Bieniec. At that time, it had a dozen or so fiefs and was quite large for the local conditions. The village belonged to the Konopnicki family, from which Maria Konopnicka's husband Jarosław came. It is sometimes erroneously said that Maria Konopnicka lived in the manor house in Konopnica, although she did visit it here.

  • The parish church of st. Rocha, built in 1642 in the baroque style, not plastered, built on a rectangular plan, with a semicircular chancel, covered with a gable roof. Vault with stucco decoration of the Kalisz-Lublin type. Baroque furnishings. In the main altar from 1796 there is a painting of St. Roch. A characteristic brick tower, covered with a baroque cupola, adjoins the church from the west.

  • The neo-gothic Kozarski manor house built in the neo-gothic style in the mid-19th century by the owners of Konopnica, and probably built by Henryk Marconi, using the older headquarters of the Konopnicki family.

The manor house is situated in a park with monumental specimens of English oaks with a circumference of 405 cm and 390 cm).

  • Nearby, a modern pseudo-gothic granary.

In addition, it is noteworthy:

  • "Zamczysko" - about 500 m to the south, at the bend of the Warta River on its steep right bank, a river-damaged cone settlement, used probably from the 14th to the 16th century, with outstanding defensive values. The partially preserved cone, surrounded by an embankment and a double moat, is an excellent vantage point on the bend of the Warta.

A war cemetery on the river bank, where the ashes of 54 soldiers and their commander, Major Stanisław Jaszczuk from 72 pp. them. Dionizy Czachowski With Radomwho, in the fight against the Germans to maintain the crossings on the Warta River, died on September 3, 1939.

A cremation cemetery from the 1st-4th centuries CE was discovered in Konopnica, where research was carried out by Museum of the Wieluń Region in the years 1973-1976.

Currently known summer and recreation resort, situated on the "Warta Canoe Trail" and on the "Amber Trail". The European Amber Festival has been held here since 2007.
In Konopnica there is the "Dworek" Recreation Center of the Lodz University of Technology.

In 2013, a private landing field was established in the village.
