Lalish (Kurdish Laliş, but also Lalişa Nûranî, in Arabic: لالش) is a city of Iraqi Kurdistan.

To know

It is the site of the tomb of Sheikh Adi, a leading figure of the Yazidi faith.

At least once in their lifetime, the Yazidis are required to make a six-day pilgrimage to visit Sheikh Adi's tomb and other sacred sites.

Geographical notes

It is a small mountain valley located in the north of the 'Iraq, about 60 km northwest of the city of Mosul.
