getting there

By train

The best way to get there is by train Bensheim (Bensheim is an intercity stop). From there buses run on the B 47 to Lindenfels.

In the street

Lindenfels is on the B47 between Bensheim and Michelstadt. An approach is also about Heppenheim and Fuerth possible. Motorway connection to the A 5 is in Bensheim and Heppenheim.

Anyone coming from Bensheim should definitely stop at the "Schöne Aussicht" car park, which can be found south of Kolmbach on the main road (see panorama below).

Incidentally, there is another parking lot directly at the western entrance to the B 47 from Lindenfels, with a closer view of the old town. In the village (in the direction of the Reichelsheim exit) you will also find the "Kappstraße" mobile home parking space

View from the area of the parking lot "Schöne Aussicht" on the B 47 south of Kolmbach to the mountain town Lindenfels and into the Weschnitz Valley. If you want to enjoy this view, you have to leave the largely ingrown parking lot and walk a few meters down the branching farm road. Then this beautiful landscape opens up to you. This is one of the most beautiful valley views in the mountains. So it is not surprising that the winding B 47 from Bensheim via Lindenfels to Michelstadt is also a popular excursion and motorcycle route.
