Lormes is a town in the region Burgundy in France.

Lormes is a small town of 1400 inhabitants on the western edge of the Morvan . It is built on a hill where the two small streams de Cornillata and the goulot come together and the source of the river auxois forms cascading into rushing waterfalls to the valley to the west. On top of the hill of the Mont Saint-Alban you can enjoy a beautiful view. The central location and especially the authenticity is an important reason to visit the town. Lormes has an attractive campsite on the reservoir l'étang du Goulot.

Lormes is only easily accessible by car. There is no train station and buses run sparsely.

By bus

  • There is a bus from Clamecy to Lormes on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Keep in mind that you need to book in advance. Phone (03) 386225448 between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
  • Line 29 serves Lormes on Thursdays and market days. Route : Saint Martin du Puy, Chalaux, Marigny l'Eglise, Pouques Lormes – Lormes

By car

Lormes is fastest accessible by car via the A6 which runs from Paris nasty Beaune. At exit 21 or 22, drive to Avallon. From there it is another 29 kilometers on the D944.
