The Lowveld (Lowlands) the south african province Mpumalanga extends over the eastern part of the province and borders Eswatini and Mozambique in the East. Towards the northwest, the Lowveld is formed by a step several hundred meters high (Escarpment) from Highveld delimited.
Regions
In both the Zulu and Swazi languages, the name is Lowveld Ehlanzeni, this is also the name of the district in the province. It is divided into three regions:
- Lowveld Legogote immediately east of the Escarpments. It is in the immediate vicinity of the Mt. Legogote, also known as Lion's Head designated.
- Wild Frontier, the region rich in game on the border to the Kruger National Park and Eswatini
- Kruger National Park, the park stretches along the east side of Mpumalanga into the province Limpopo.

Tourist Attractions
- 1 Sudwala Caves. Tel.: 27 (0) 13 733 4152. There are 2 sightseeing tours offered. The normal cave tour takes about 1 hour and costs 65 ZAR. The Crystal tour must be booked in advance, takes about 3 hours and is only suitable for healthy people over 16 years of age.Open: daily 8.30am-4.39pm.
