Mural installation of Il postino

- 5 Installation of Il postino, Piazza Sant'Onofrio, Pollara (Next to the Church of Sant'Onofrio). A mural installation representing Massimo Troisi and Philippe Noiret as characters in the film. Many tourists love to take a picture between the two characters.
House of The Postman

7 House of The Postman, via Massimo Troisi (Along the road that goes down to the sea). This house was used during the filming of the film as the home of Philippe Noiret who played Pablo Neruda. It can be seen from the street or approached, but it is still a private villa.

Il postino beach
Pollara viewpoint
- 1 Il postino beach (Pollara beach). Take a swim on the beach where some scenes of Il Postino were filmed. The beach in the film actually disappeared as the sea cleared the sand. Today it remains an almost completely unrecognizable rocky inlet. However it is nice to imagine the setting of the film but above all it is a lovely place to swim. On the same beach you can also see old fishermen's houses a few meters from the sea.
- 2 Pollara viewpoint, (In front of the Pollara traffic light right on the curve). Admire the panorama of Pollara from above from this fantastic viewpoint with the Faraglione rock while in the distance you can see Alicudi is Filicudi.
