Location Marlas just before the SA / NT border on the highway and track
- On the Stuart Highway from the south of Cadney Homestead (about 81 km) or even further south of Coober Pedy (plus another 154 km) and from the north of Kulgera (already in Northern Australia) about 179 km away or even further north of Alice Springs (plus another 275 km).
- From the east on the dirt Oodnadatta Track of Oodnadatta, about 210 km.

Tourist Attractions
The route of the Ghan runs about 500 m west of the houses through the desert. The train runs twice a week, but it only stops in Marla for two hours on the journey north.

The roadhouse
Marla Travelers' rest, Stuart Highway, Marla. Tel.: 61 8 8670 7001, Fax: 61 8 8670 7021, Email: [email protected]. The roadhouse is located at the confluence of the Oodnadatta Track on the Stuart Highway 1 . It also supplies the indigenous Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara and Ngaanyatjarra people living in the area. The Roadhouse is an alternative to staying at Cadney Homestead. It offers motel rooms, a campsite, a restaurant, a bar, a supermarket and a swimming pool. The gas station and post office are also operated by the owners of the roadhouse.Open: is open every day.
The village has a police station, a small hospital and a public toilet.
