the Mount Athos is a mountain of Greece located at the end of the Aktè peninsula forming the Monastic Republic of Mount Athos. It is sometimes referred to as "Christian Tibet".

The Monastic Republic of Mount Athos whose name GreekΑυτόνομη Μοναστική Πολιτεία Αγίου Όρους, Autónomi Monastikí Politeía Agíou Órous literally translates to "Autonomous monastic state of the Holy Mountain" is an autonomous region of the Greece located around Mount Athos. She understands 20 monasteries and around 2,000 monks Orthodox who lead a life of seclusion and prayer. Access to women is strictly prohibited on the peninsula. Moreover, this rule applies to all vertebrate female creatures except chickens and cats.

Memories are mostly religious in nature. There are shops in Dafni and Karyes as well as in some monasteries.
Eat
If you stay in a monastery or have a good time there, you will eat in the refectory of the monastery called trapeza. The food is very good and is generally vegetarian with cheese and bread. Sometimes we also serve fish. During fasting days, that is, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, only water is served to drink. On other days, Greek wine or rezina will also be available. If you eat at a monastery during the feast of its saint, you will probably also serve sweet cake for dessert.
