Ménerbes is a village of Vaucluse, classified among the most beautiful villages in France.
Understand
Located on the north face of Luberon massif, Between Lacoste and Oppède, the village of Ménerbes has been known in the texts since, at least the end of the XIe century. The village leans against a rocky outcrop of the massif, which covers the southern part of the town. The north of the town is open to the Calavon valley, with an agricultural and wine-growing area. The territory has however been inhabited since prehistoric times, excavations having found traces of human presence at the Soubeyras shelter, or at the Pichouno dolmen.
To go
The town of Ménerbes is accessible by the D29, then D103, since The Beaumettes, on the D900(Apt-Avignon), or by the D109, since Lacoste.
