Characteristic
Geographic location: 54 ° 44′15 ″ N 18 ° 03′28 ″ E
In the years 1975–1998, the town was located in the Gdańsk Province.
The greatest development of the village took place in the early 1970s due to its construction Żarnowiec Nuclear Power Plant.
There is a new marina on Lake Żarnowiec in Nadol. The lake is the only reservoir in this area not covered by the silence zone, so it is a perfect place for various water sports and offers an excellent angling offer.
The only boat pilgrimage in Poland takes place in Nadole. When Poland returned to the map of Europe after the partitions 100 years ago, some sections of the border were drawn in a slightly strange way. Nadole was the only town on the western shore of Lake Żarnowieckie to be part of Poland. For this contact with Poland to be real and without crossing the border with Germany, only the waterway remained. In memory of those times, water and walking pilgrimages from Nadola are organized (although today there is no state border here, there is the area of the Pomeranian Voivodeship around) to Broom. It takes place every year on the weekend closest to Saint Anne (July 26). There are all kinds of small and larger watercraft: motor boats and sailboats, scooters and motorboats pulling ... water skiers. Spectacular. A bishop is coming from Gdańsk.
There is also a small but charming open-air museum in Nadol (by the main road running through the village). On the occasion of the fair, attractions are organized, such as baking bread in a 100-year-old oven.
There is a small and not very interesting beach on the lake shore.
If we go further south, we will see gigantic pipes of the pumped storage power plant connecting the upper (Czymanowo) and lower (Żarnowieckie Lake) reservoirs. They are 1100 meters long.
