Rozewie (German Rixthof) is a seaside resort in Poland in the voivodeship Pomerania at the Slowinsian coast, the central part of the Polish Baltic coast. Cape Rozewie in the village was until 2003 the northernmost point of the Polish Baltic Sea coast and thus all of Poland. After a re-survey of the coast in 2003 it was found that the immediately adjacent Jastrzębia Góra two meters further north than Cape Rozewie. There are two lighthouses with viewing platforms in the village, but only the older one is in operation. The place is on a high cliff above the beach.
background
The place is quite small and manageable. It is therefore particularly suitable for tourists who are looking for peace and relaxation on the beach and in nature away from the hustle and bustle. However, it can get quite crowded in the high season in July and August.
The seaside resort developed from a fishing village. However, the community did not come into being under the current Polish and German name until the interwar period. However, the cape was previously called Rozewie or Rixthöf.
