Namche Bazar is a city of Nepal.
To know
The village houses the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park, which includes many famous Himalayan peaks. From the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park, located near the village, you can enjoy a magnificent view of some famous Himalayan peaks, such as Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku and Ama Dablam. There is also a police post and a Nepalese army barracks.
Namche Bazar is known as the main starting point to many Himalayan peaks (Trekking to Everest Base Camp). By plane
- Airport of Lukla, then one or two days of trekking to reach Namche.
How to get around
There is only one way to get around Khumbu: on foot. But, although expensive, it is possible to rent a helicopter in Lukla airport for Katmandu or Namche.
What see
- Sagarmatha National Park Visitor's Center. it is located in the upper part of the village, (right side of the village when looking up). It offers information on the fauna of the area. There are some interesting photographs.
- Sherpa Life Museum (Museum of Sherpa Life). it is located above the village. An introduction to the Sherpa culture and the fauna and flora of the region.
- Namche Monastery. which is on the left side of the village. A small monastery in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It has some traditional frescoes on the main sanctuary wall.

What to do
- Namche market. As the name of the village suggests, Namche Bazar has a market. Every Saturday morning above the town's main path, Sherpas from the surrounding valleys sell their agricultural and electronic products from Kathmandu. While the goods themselves may not be of interest to tourists the market itself certainly is. Also worth seeing is the Yak "parking area" above the market.

A traditional market takes place there on Saturday mornings where the locals sell their wares to Namche Bazar residents and tourists.
