Polesie is a marshland on the edge of the Łęczna-Włodawa Lake District in the Lublin Voivodeship in Poland. The regions most worthy of protection are in Polesie National Park protected.

history
The idea of establishing a national park here was born in the early 1930s. However, the Second World War and the Soviet occupation of Poland initially thwarted these plans. The national park was finally established in 1990.

Large land mammals such as elk, wolf, lynx and numerous bird species appear.

There is a transitional climate with a continental European influence.

The area is well developed for tourism. You can arrive via Lublin.

PLN 6 normal, PLN 3 reduced.

Walking the wooden bog trails. Optionally by kayak through the swamps.

Lakes and marshes, museum of the national park.

Hiking and water sports, observing animals, especially birds.

In the national park itself you can only buy small souvenirs and snacks. A visit is recommended for shopping Lublins.

You cannot spend the night in the national park itself. In the vicinity there are numerous agritourism farms, guest houses, small hotels, refuges and campsites.
