The Bieszczady National Park(Polish: Bieszczadzki Park Narodowy) is a national park in Poland. It is located in the southeastern part of the Subcarpathian, in the mountain range of Bieszczady, a partial mountain range of the eastern Beskydy Mountains. For many Poles, it is the wildest of the Polish national parks, as the area is very sparsely populated. South of the national park is the Solina reservoir.

The national park is 292.02 km², includes the highest regions of the Forest Carpathians in the border triangle with Slovakia and Ukraine in the headwaters of the San.

Flora and fauna

It houses primeval forests in which the wolf, the brown bear, the lynx, the wild cat, the red deer, the wild boar and the meadow duck live, as well as many species of birds, such as the eagle owl, the owl, the white-backed woodpecker, the black stork, the corn corn and the Lesser Spotted Eagle. Deer, dormouse, dormouse and garden dormouse are also represented in large numbers. The symbol of the national park is the lynx.

climate

The weather in the nature park can be very changeable, especially at higher altitudes, with sudden drops in temperature, quickly rising fog and unexpected showers.

You can hike in the park along the hiking trails. There are numerous designated hiking trails. The mountains can be climbed without any climbing knowledge.
