Neve Zohar (Hebrew נווה זוהר; "Z" is pronounced like a voiced "S") is a place where southwestern coastline of Dead sea. He lies up israeli National territory. Similar to En Bokek further north, you can go on a beach holiday in Neve Zohar; However, the place is less touristy and not a pure seaside resort.

Neve Zohar is a small town on the southern part of the Dead Sea, on the so-called lagoon, which is kept at a constant height by pumps (while the water level in the northern part of the Dead Sea has been falling continuously for decades). Geographically, Neve Zohar is in the transition area from the Judean desert to the desert Negev. As in En BokekA little further north, there are Dead Sea beaches in Neve Zohar, and you can also spend the night here.

The preferred airport for traveling to Neve Zohar is the Ben Gurion Airport at Tel Aviv. From there you can reach the Dead Sea either with a rental car, or by taking buses over Jerusalem arrives.

The same road also crosses Neve Zohar. An important feeder from Jerusalem is Road 1, which crosses at the northern end of the Dead Sea at Jericho. South of Neve Zohar, road 31 branches off from road 90; this road leads over Arad to the west and then bypasses Beer Sheva in the North. If you are traveling in a rental car from the north, you will cross the West Bank on roads 1 and 90. These roads are generally easy to drive on; under certain circumstances it may be that landlords prohibit the crossing of the West Bank in whole or in part.

There is no regular shipping traffic on the Dead Sea, so the places cannot be reached by ship.

In the wadi above Neve Zohar there is with Metzad Zohar the remains of a Nabatean fortress that was later used by the Byzantines. There is a lookout point on road 31 to Arad.

In Neve Zohar you can swim in the Dead Sea, but there are no freshwater showers on the beach. In contrast to the Public Beaches in En Bokek, you are usually completely alone.

There is no shop in Neve Zohar. The next mini markets are in En Bokek, but they are poorly sorted and overpriced. Larger purchases can be done either in Arad (approx. 30 km) in various supermarkets or in the very well-stocked and reasonably priced mini market in Kibbutz Ein Gedi.

Neve Zohar is next to En Bokek a destination for bathing tourists on the southern part of the Dead Sea. As in En Bokek, there are various overnight accommodations, including privately rented accommodations. The prices are generally a bit cheaper. If you need to stay overnight as cheaply as possible, you should go to the youth hostels in Masada or En Gedi dodge.

- A good 20 km north of Neve Zohar are the remains of the fortress, which dates back to Herod, on a mighty rock plateau Masada. Masada is considered one of the highlights of a stay in Israel.
